Hey All,
Blessed Be and thanks for being here! I find it really funny that there's a tribe about celtic/hindu connections, because i am of celtic decent, and have always been drawn to the celtic way of goddess and earth based spirituality.... however, recently i came across Quan Yin, learned just a little about her, and suddenly, every time i thought of her i felt an amazing rush of compassion and love and this beautiful blue/white/purple light...... i couldn't possibly begin to explain in words how i would feel when i would meditate on Quan Yin, but i just have to say i feel an amazing peace.....
Do any of you have any input about Quan Yin, and maybe any comparisons or similarities to other forms of the goddess?
Thank You!!!

Re: Quan Yin
Sat, May 14, 2005 - 12:51 AMDo you ever get the feeling that somehow you've come across these figures before? Somehow, somewhere they get lodged into your subconcious and it's funny how they emerge at the wierdest times?
But then again, we do live in America, and if we can walk down the street and pass by several different kinds of restaurants and meet with people of many different kinds of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, then I don't see any reason why we can't be drawn to different spiritual energies that maybe outside of our immediate culture.

Re: Quan Yin
Sun, June 19, 2005 - 11:18 PMi remember quan yin -- she & i have been intimately connected
i used to channel quan yin NRG a lot
she is serenely graceful compassion as r her sisters, Tara & Mary
when i channeled her nrgies while trance dancing i would feel sooooo expansive, it felt as if the tiniest movement of my smallest fingernail could set entire galaxies in motion
a friend gave me an amethyst crystal carving of her --- standing upon a "moving" crystal globe with her water dragon coiled 'round
for me Quan Yin resonates to some ancient life-time for me as Chyneeese -- the images which come to me r these
i must marry -- i refuse to marry
i have 2 options -- suicide -- or become a nun
i chose nun & became a devotee of Quan Yin
not so oddly enuf, i have a strong affinity for things chinese yes??
as i recall -- Quan Yin was originally a male --- one of the long Hindu names like Avoleks_______?? & then became a female
u'd probably find that story in a Google search for Quan Yin
enjoy your journey with the Q-Y
and consider this -- u & she are one & the same NRG --
she is your projection & reflection of the Compassionate U --
U R looking into a "mirror" -- and she is whom U C --
so, love your reflection -- she certainly loves U
