Hello all, sorry it's been so quiet. The winter holidays are upon us and as I was looking on the calendar wondering when the heck I'm going to find time to squeeze in a bit of holiday shopping, I noticed that a lot of the holidays are squeezed together this year. Yule/Winter Solstice is almost here, followed closely by Christmas. Hannukkah, Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day all begin on the same day (Dec 26th), and goodness knows that soon New Year's, Old Christmas (Jan 6)/Twelfth Night, and Imbolc will be here soon.
I know it has already passed, but I also like to celebrate Diwali this time of year, usually a week before Yule - I light a small tealight in the windows each night to light the way (at my old college, the InterFaith councel used to include all these holidays in their annual Festival of Lights).
How will we be spending our holidays? What traditions/customs are meaningful for us this time of year?
